POSITION SUMMARY
This 8-month intern position focuses on automation/manual software testing of web UI end-point management solutions. Gain hands-on experience, collaborating with co-workers, verifying functionality, identifying issues, and improving software quality. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manual testing of unified endpoint management; a web based application used for monitoring, managing and securing all of an organization's end-user devices—desktops and laptops, smartphones, tablets, wearables and more—from a single console, regardless of operating system or location.
- Test automation; responsible for design and implementation of the automatic testing framework for a Node JS full stack web app.
- Building automated test suites and integrating with DevOps pipelines.
- Working with React, and CodeceptJS test automation frameworks to create functional and acceptance test cases in a NodeJS with JavaScript/Typescript environment.
- Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs, and modifies automated testing software enhancements for products used in local, networked, cloud-based or Internet-related computer programs.
- Testing enterprise end-user applications.
- Using current JavaScript, CodeceptJS, React technologies, writes test scripts, JavaScript code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications.
- Completes documentation and writes test cases, reports defects, progress reports, review test metrics and results, summarizes progress, participates in test/development scrums.
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in a relevant post-secondary institution/program
- Available to work for an 8 Month term (January - August)
- Familiarity with automation testing tools & frameworks
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks, learns and contributes to the team and performs well defined tasks
- Ability to take initiative and work well individually and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and self-motivated
