BlackBerry is looking to hire a Finance intern to join our Finance Planning and Analysis team. This position joins a senior team of Accountants to learn how to create annual operating plans and forecast monthly and quarterly variances for our various lines of business.
Develops, interprets and implements financial concepts for financial planning and control. Performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, acquisition activity, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. Performs economic research and studies in the areas of rates of return, depreciations, working capital requirements, investment opportunities, investment performance and impact of governmental requirements.
What you will do:
Partners with the business/finance delivery stakeholders to ensure that the financial accounting, processes, controls, reporting are operationally supported and strategically focused to secure the greatest return on investment for the global company.
Gathers financial data and performs financial analyses and reporting to influence decisions within the business.
Partakes in necessary projects from time to time to demonstrate/transform the success and implementation of requisite steps to confirm quality and compliance.
