Job Description:

SUMMARY:

BlackBerry is looking for a Senior DevSecOps Specialist to join the Cyber Security Operations team. In this role, you'll work collaboratively with internal support teams to deploy and operate our security systems toolsets and help streamline our operations and processes through automation and orchestration pipeline tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and improve operational practices/procedures.
  • Monitor production platform availability, stability, performance and troubleshoot/fix issues.
  • Building and testing automation tools for security system integration.
  • Design, implement, test, integrate and document software components.
  • Documenting and designing various Dev/Ops processes and update existing processes.
  • Providing technical guidance and education to team members on Dev/Ops best practices.
  • Foster environment of continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, with a strong preference for computer science or related degree. Advanced degree is a plus.
  • Solid experience working as a System Administrator or as a DevOps/DevSecOps Specialist or in a similar role with a focus on security.
  • Experience working with security orchestration and automation framework (SOAR).
  • Experience working with infrastructure automation tools, such as Terraform, Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack.
  • Software development experience, ideally in Python.
  • Experience deploying and supporting cloud infrastructure using various cloud providers, such as AWS, GCP, Azure.
  • Experience with monitoring software such as Zabbix, Grafana.
  • Experience with SIEM systems.
  • Intermediate or higher understanding of concepts and practices from ITSM policies, frameworks, and regulatory compliance bodies such as SOC, NIST, ITIL, and ISO.
  • Strong aptitude for innovation; can recognize opportunities for improvement in day-to-day.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills with a strong attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Use outside-of-the-box thinking to generate creative solutions to problems
  • Professional with experience on consulting, designing and delivering large projects/programs
  • Experience designing audit programs and/or responding to auditors is desirable
  • ITIL, TOGAF, CCSE, CCSP, CCNP, CCIE, MCSE, or other certifications is desirable
